6-18 to 6-20-10 Another Awesome Weekend at Catalina!

Fishing is definitely getting better and better for us. Summer is here so get your gear ready and come out fishing!

Captain Jack Dalla Corte did an awesome job today!!! Our six anglers were able to land 6 White seabass, 8 Halibut, and 1 yellowtail. Catalina Trifecta. We had two anglers that were from out of state and they had a blast with getting both their first white seabass and halibut! On another trip, David Lee was able to catch this nice 15lb halibut as well, and the following day we were able to get 3 more seabass with one tipping the scales in between 59 and 61 pounds. This is the biggest seabass caught on the Spectra to date.

I also would like to thank everyone who came out and fished with us this weekend. We really appreciate it!

Fish were caught on the backside, with still the same dropper loop and the 3/8 sliding egg sinker with a 7/0 Owner Aki hooks. Squid was pretty easy to make on the grounds. Some fish were caught in the dark around 3 am and a few more were picked off here and there off the backside. We have been fishing only 30 lb and 40lb test as this fish pull pretty hard.

We have one open party trip coming up this week and a few more coming up! Customers have been very happy with the boat, complimenting how much deck space there is to fish! Come try out the boat!

Also, we will be staying at Pierpoint Landing for the remainder of the year, so our calender is open!!! We have cancelled many of our trips in the early part of the season and can not reschedule all of them in June, and since this is our first season, we really would like to follow through on our commitments with our clients.
